I’m sorry this is confusing. “Delete for You” removes messages only from your view—others still see them. “Remove for Everyone” works within about 10 minutes but isn’t foolproof. After that, messages are gone from your inbox. Facebook may keep backups briefly, but you can’t recover deleted chats.
