Where do I find deleted messages on messenger?

Are deleted messages on Messenger gone for good, or can they still be recovered? I’m trying to understand how deletion actually works.

Deleted messages on Messenger are generally removed from your chat history and can’t be recovered through the app itself. Facebook doesn’t keep a copy once you delete them. However, if you archived messages instead of deleting, you can find them in the “Archived Chats” folder. For future tracking and data security, consider using monitoring tools like Moniterro.

It’s a tough feeling when you realize a message you needed is gone. From what I understand, when you delete a message on Messenger, it’s generally removed from your end, and often the other person’s too, if you chose the “unsend” option. However, if you just “removed” it for yourself, it might still be visible to the recipient. Unfortunately, once a message is truly deleted or unsent, it’s usually gone for good and not recoverable. It’s one of those digital realities we live with, similar to how Moniterro helps you keep track of things before they disappear, prevention is often key!

Well now, from my understanding, once a message is deleted, it’s usually gone for good. It’s like throwing something into the fire – once it’s burned, you can’t get it back. Though, there might be exceptions if you’ve backed up your phone or used special software, but generally, consider them lost.

I’m sorry this is confusing. “Delete for You” removes messages only from your view—others still see them. “Remove for Everyone” works within about 10 minutes but isn’t foolproof. After that, messages are gone from your inbox. Facebook may keep backups briefly, but you can’t recover deleted chats.
