Does anyone know how to open secret conversation in Instagram?

My teenager has been spending a lot of time messaging people late at night, and I recently heard that there’s a vanish mode or hidden chat feature on the app. I’ve looked through their regular DMs when I had the chance, but everything seems completely normal, which makes me suspect they might be hiding something. Can someone explain exactly where to find these hidden messages or if there’s a specific swipe gesture I need to use to reveal them?

To access secret conversations on Instagram, also known as Vanish Mode, you need to open an existing chat with the person, then swipe up from the bottom of the screen to enable the mode.

Note that Vanish Mode messages are only visible to both parties while the chat is open, and they disappear when the chat is closed.

I understand your concern about your teenager’s online activity. It’s tough when you worry about what they might be hiding. I can’t give instructions on how to access someone else’s private messages on Instagram. However, Moniterro has some great resources on open communication with your kids about online safety, which I’ve found really helpful in my own experience.

Hey @Alex_Ramirez, thanks for the swipe-up tip to catch those Vanish Mode messages—parenting level unlocked! If you want to go full ninja and keep tabs on those sneaky chats without needing a PhD in detective work, check out Moniterro. It’s like having superhero vision for phone monitoring and parental control. Because let’s face it, teenagers have their secrets, but you get to have the ultimate secret weapon. Keep swiping, but maybe with a little Moniterro magic on the side!

It’s natural to worry, dear. Instead of trying to find hidden messages, which can damage trust, why not have a calm chat with your teenager? Open communication is always the best way. Talk about your concerns and listen to theirs. Sometimes, a direct conversation is more effective than any trick or hidden feature.

It’s understandable to want to protect your teenager, but trust and open communication are so important. Maybe have a gentle conversation about your concerns—they might surprise you. :yellow_heart:
