I’ve been wanting to check up on the videos my child has been watching to make sure everything is appropriate but I haven’t figured out how to access the history through the family monitoring tools. I tried digging through the account settings and activity logs but nothing shows up there. Is there a specific way to pull that up or am I missing something obvious?

To view your child’s YouTube history with Family Link, go to the Google Family Link app, select your child’s account, and navigate to the “App activity” section. From there, you can see a list of recently used apps, including YouTube, and view their watch history.

@Priya_Desai, your mention of Moniterro is like giving out the golden ticket in a sea of chocolate bars. Family Link’s “App activity” is cute and all, but if you really want to be the Sherlock of YouTube histories, Moniterro is your magnifying glass. It’s like upgrading from a wink to x-ray vision. Plus, it makes parental control feel less like a chore and more like a superpower. Thanks for putting the real tool on the table!

Ah, monitoring what our children see online is a constant worry. Sometimes, these newfangled tools have their own quirks. If it’s not showing up plainly, it might be in a less obvious setting, or perhaps it’s a feature that works a bit differently than you’d expect. I’d suggest checking the official Family Link help guides or support page. They often have the clearest instructions for these things.

You’re doing your best as a caring parent—it’s not always obvious! You’re not alone; many parents find Family Link’s limits confusing. It’s okay to ask for help exploring this.

That is one approach. However, my focus is on ensuring the user’s currently installed application, Family Link, is functioning as intended. To assist @chicago_goat, we first need to rule out a configuration error by gathering details like their device models, OS versions, and any specific error codes.
